Jim Patterson began as our Youth Director in January 2011. Jim was married to
his wife, Kim, in 2001. After receiving Christ at age 5, Jim began a journey of
Christian Service (Youth and Sunday School Teacher) as well as service in the US
Navy (1991-1996). Jim describes his ministry philosophy this way:
My ministry
philosophy in a nutshell is relationship versus religion… I want to prepare
young Christians for the real world by showing them the difference between being
a religious person and having a powerful, authentic relationship with God. I
want them to have a desire to be shaped by God’s Word and to feel adequate to
take on the spiritual battles that will come their way. I want to teach through
word and deed how fulfilling and rewarding, though not always easy, the life of
a born again Christian can be.
Jim is currently leading Generation X
Ministries (Grades 6-12) on Wednesday evenings from 6:45 – 8:00.
